Are backpacks important for hunting? What is the best way to pack your meat when hunting?
One quite exciting thing about hunting is how it stimulates our basic survival instincts; how it takes us closer to the fundamentally human nature of depending on our dexterity for survival. It is more than get one’s kill. It’s a game that requires a great deal of practice and tactical patience.
It is also not about how hard one hits, but about the precision with which one hits, such that one makes a fast kill and does not cause the game to suffer; and this is where having the right backpack and having the right amount of gear in it comes in.
The best hunting backpacks combines the functionality of being a backpack with making the hunting experience optimal.
Being a hunting backpack, it should have enough space to allow you to store essentials and carry the meat after a kill. It should as well have useful pockets for the riffle, bow and arrows that will enable you to keep or reach for the gears smoothly and swiftly, altogether enhancing the hunting experience.
And when not being used for hunting, a hunting backpack should serve its core function well; when not being used for hunting, hunting back should be suitable as a backpack to carry stuff to other places, for instance, short weekend trips.
So what makes a good hunting backpack? Being a hunter, here are the key features I think hunters should look for in considering a hunting backpack to be good.

How to Choose the Best Hunting Backpacks
The hunting backpack should contain all necessary features that make it fully functional as a hunting backpack such as hydration bladder, sufficient carrying space, bow holder, and other gear pockets. And these features should be designed in a way that optimizes the hunting experience.
A hydration bladder is prioritized because dehydration is deadly, so a good bow hunting backpack should contain a hydration bladder or at least be designed to accommodate one that you can buy.
Carrying space is a feature that can vary depending on the hunter’s preference; for a while, some hunters go hunting with everything they need and space to hold their intended kill, others prefer to hunt light and as such go hunting only with the basic.
Bow holder or riffle holder holds the bow or rifle in place when it is not in use, and
Gear pocket is also essential in a hunting backpack. You need a handful of gears when hunting, and you need them in the right positions such that you can reach for them quickly and swiftly.
The best hunting backpacks not only contain the above features, but they include them in a design that makes them all easy to use and easy to reach, all enhancing the bowhunting experience.
Like space, weight is also a feature that depends on individual preference, depending on how light each hunter likes to hunt.
But basically, the best hunting backpacks are designed such that one gets the more carrying space from as little weight as possible.
A good hunting backpack should also be designed to last, with quality material that prevents ripping and quality zippers that are silent and do not break easily.
Alongside the above features, the best hunting backpacks have an ergonomic design that makes them comfortable to use and a compact design that makes them easy to carry.
